The Robin design (ex Birds I) was reintroduced for the 2012 Christmas period (from 6th November 2012). Strips will provide contiguous Robin labels (this was not possible when they were issued originally as the rolls had the six differing designs repeating). Also, the wavyline 'ROYAL MAIL' text includes a year code - 'MAI2' (and 'MAI3' for 2013). This occurs roughly between the tariff rate (line 1) and weight (line 2) and towards the frame of the Robin image
A Christmas Post Shop was in operation at Camden North West London with two RM Series I machines (16th Nov to 24th Dec 2012). The bottom code line had the Office code 'ANGB12' ('ADGB12' in December) with machines numbered 'A3' and 'A4'. These two machines will probably be the only source of Robin 'MAI2' Hytech printed Post & Go labels.
Both versions can be found with the Europe 60g and Worldwide 60g rates. The 'MAI3' version has been reported with Euro 20g / World 10g rates. In the case of the Wincor machines, the change did not occur until mid October 2014, albeit the text was in a larger size - 'MAI2' has been recorded.

The Euro 20g / World 10g tariff rate was produced from NCR and RM Series II machines. In the case of the Wincor machines, the tariff rate was originally printed as Europe 20g. However, in mid October 2014 the Wincor machines were belatedly upgraded to vend the Euro 20g / World 10g tariff rate albeit the text was in a larger size. | ||||||
Later versions with the year code MAI7 come from rolls that were produced by a Digital printer. |
The Poppy design (ex British Flora II) was issued from single design rolls on 21st October 2014 as part of the Remembrance / Great War commemoration. These were vended from the machines sited in Post Offices and DID not have any special overprint. However, these rolls were first used at Autumn Stampex (17th Sep 2014) on RM Series II machines producing a special overprint text including 'First World War Centenary'. The wavyline 'ROYAL MAIL' text included a year code - 'MAI4'.
